band name change

if you were to change the name of your band, what happens to all the merchandise you have just sold with the bands logo on it?

if..

well it would remain exactly as it is.. merchandise with the band's logo on it, that gradually looks older as time flows on but is filled with nostalgia, much like your mother's old Beatles '45s, but without as much cultural relevance... i don't think its all going to self destruct spontaneously - i'm not sure what you mean?!

because

i think it would look stupid if creel commission have changed there name, and i got to a gig with a "Creel Commission" t-shirt and there playing under another name.

The Doors have always been The Doors - so I don't think you see where i am coming from ed.
